Liverpool back in the title race

Written Saturday 26th Feb

It has been a 5 month project but we have finally getting close to releasing our new site redesign, more on that later and also the Cheltenham festival. Right now the biggest talking point after the weekend is Liverpool being back in the title race. It's not so much that Man City have let Liverpool back in to the title race (Spurs are a bit of a bogey team for Man City and Southampton are no mugs getting some good results recently) but more of Liverpool have really hit top form and are clearly the best team in Europe at the moment. Even considering they had to do without two of the best players, one being the best player in the world arguably Mo Salah and Sane, they have really upped their game and shown the squad is a match for anyones. The current prices are Man City @1/3 and Liverpool @11/4, we think currently we would rather be on Liverpool at 11/4 with them still to play each other, albeit at the Etihad. Looking at fixtures to come both teams have equally similar schedules, although Liverpool will be a game behind again after this weekend having to play a cup final while Man City have a tricky trip to Everton who have definitely looked stronger at home under Lampard, the quadruple is till on for Liverpool @100/1. Its not totally out of the question on the day before the League Cup final. Man City and Liverpool remaining fixtures below:

Only 17 days left until Cheltenham Festival at the time of writing, the Covid restrictions have been lifted by the government which will hopefully mean we get all the horses turning up for some big fields races. The race everyone is waiting for or should be waiting for is the Campion Chase on Wednesday Shiskin Vs Energumene, the rivals had a good old sparring session at Ascot in the Clarence House chase with Siskin just showing his class to get up close near the line after looking beat. Will Shiskin be even better at Cheltenham you got the feeling there was more to come which is a scary thought for Willie Mullins and pro Punter Tony Bloom's Energumene, but could better ground at Cheltenham play it to Energumenes hands, he looks a really good jumper and only just ran out of steam against Shiskin in the soft ground race at Ascot. It is going to be a good old punch up at Cheltenham and the current betting is Shiskin @4/6 and Enurgemene @3/1.
