Cheltenham Festival 2023

The Cheltenham Festival 2023 is among us, the best four days of National Hunt horse racing in the calendar. Plenty of stars to look forward too such as Constitutional Hill, Jon Bon, Shiskin and Noble Yeats (Grand National winner). A lot of Cheltenham preview nights have been and gone. We have posted some snippets below:

“Paul Townend horses rode at the Curragh all ran flat next time out Blue Lord, Facile Vega…..” Danny Mullins

Doctor Bravo Supreme Novices Gordon Elliot, “yard talking the chances of the horse up” Mike Fogarty

Imagine Gordon Elliott in the Martin Pipe - been running at 2mile Jane Mangan “stepping up to what they think this will be preferred distance now”

Tahmuras Paul Nicholls “has the same profile as previous Supreme winners Al Ferof and Nolan”

Smartbettingstats will be analysis the trends for all 28 races, to result the matching horses to previous winners profiles. The cheltenham festival trends tips will be posted the day before the racing.

It will be hard to see Constitution Hill getting beat and we hope he does the business. An interesting bet might be Britain to win the Prestbury cup on the handicap +9.5 races, the jump offs at Cheltenham will be painted white and this could impact some of the Irish horses who are used to orange. Britain could easily win all the races on day 1 and if you can find a bet for that we wouldn’t put you off along as the price is big.

- 23 out of 26 winners won last time out in the Supreme Novices Hurdle - Facile Vega got beat last time
- An interesting trend in the Supreme Novices Hurdle is Olly Murphy has had two runners and they have both placed.
- 9 out of 10 Ultima winners have worn head gear
- 12 out of 14 Ballymore winners came from the two top rated horses
- 13 out of 16 Brown Advisory winners were 7 year olds
